Today would have been our 40th anniversary. I know you would have stayed beside me if you could. Our whole married life you tried to protect me, support me and love me and I'll be forever grateful. This last year of the pandemic has been particularly challenging, you'd have hated the restrictions, but I know you have applauded me for getting through it. Your presence is never far away. I only have to think of you to feel your love and support cheering me on. You are still my greatest supporter. As always, wherever you are and however you're using your particular blend of determination, bravery, generosity and humour, I wish you all good things. Love, happiness and freedom from pain.
